Biography
Damilola Moses Opedun (b. 1983) is a Lagos-based Nigerian visual artist whose paintings examine human emotion, memory, and identity through a distinctive blend of contemporary and historical imagery.
A graduate of Auchi Polytechnic and best graduating student in Painting in 2010, he has exhibited widely within and outside Nigeria. His enduring interest lies in resilience, perception, and social transformation — concerns that animate his entire practice.
His acclaimed Makovenice body of work draws deep inspiration from the Makoko waterside community, producing works that are by turns elegiac and defiant — documents of a world often overlooked.
